a worm in my hairmemories of us

Moments after leaving Rossbeigh Beach, I couldn’t wait to look over the images we captured during our time at the most breathtaking place we’d ever been. (Thank goodness for digital!) I eagerly glanced through a handful of the scenic shots, trying to keep my reactions to a minimum since it’s a little unfair to “ooo” and “ahh” over images when the driver can’t look. And then I did what every girl does – zoomed in on the pictures of myself to make sure I looked OK.

I’m sure I let out a shriek that scared my husband half to death. To my horror, I was staring at an image of a disgusting, curly worm in my hair! Do you know what kind of crazy worms they have at the beach in Ireland? Me neither! I was freaking out, certain it was still there, and began rifling my fingers through my hair in a panic to get rid of it.

Kelly pulled over the vehicle and agreed to help find the stowaway. He looked through my hair and didn’t see anything. I asked him to double check and handed him the camera to show what we were dealing with…

My wonderful husband looked at me, sighed, and lovingly pointed out the fact that my sunglasses had a design on the side that apparently somewhat resembled a worm.

Oops! We had a good laugh over that one. ;)
